Visit Dr. B.N.Yugandhar, Hon’ble member of Planning Commission

Dr. B.N.Yugandhar, the Hon’ble member of Planning Commission visited OWDM office on 25th August, 2007. Dr. R.N. Bahidar, APC was present at the OWDM to receive the distinguished dignitary. Dr. Yugandhar made a quick round in the premises and got apprised of the various activities undertaken under the aegis of Watershed Mission and also interacted with the members of Management Consultant-WORLP and Project Support Unit- WORLP. He took immense interest in going through the various publications, documents- Guidelines, Circulars, Manuals, etc. as brought out by the Mission so far. Dr. Yugandhar took part in a small meeting where the Addl. Director-OWDM in presence of the APC and Director, Agriculture & Food Production, GoO, briefed about the current programs and major concerns at hand. Dr. Yugandhar being a forerunner in the planning and strategy formulation for several Poverty alleviation/ development schemes for the entire country advised the Watershed Mission team with some insightful information.
